About
Hello. My name’s Chris Pang.
Founder of Branchline Systems · AI systems development & abstract engineering
A winding path into this work.

Hello. My name's Chris Pang. Through weird circumstances, abstract collaborative effort, and the goal of making trust clean, I accidentally became founder of Branchline Systems.
I was born in Canton, Ohio, and grew up nearby in Jackson Township. Science interested me early, although my path through it hasn’t been straightforward. I left university, spent time farming and thinking, and then worked as a welder for ten years. Today, my work centers on AI systems development and abstract engineering.
The thread through those changes is curiosity about how things work and how to build something that holds together. Branchline brings that curiosity into software, research, and creative work, from tools for preserving the history of AI-assisted projects to Hearthline and the world of Finis Solutus.
I want to build useful systems that people can understand, question, and make their own projects with. The goal was to design systems that leave room for the person using them to grow.
Thank you for your interest in Branchline Systems.
-Chris
Your Branch. Your Story. Protected with Honesty.
That is Branchline’s corporate motto. The work starts from a practical aim: give people something to grow from without consuming all the growing space.
Honesty about sources
Keep observations, interpretations, and unresolved questions distinguishable.
Human responsibility
Make scope, permission, and accountable decisions visible.
Correction and room to grow
Keep useful paths for questioning, revising, continuing, and stopping.
The path is part of the record.

The earlier site named the PAL Development Timeline, reconstructed through July 29, 2026, and PAL Development Journal II: Early Shapes, Mechanical Receipts, and the Twelve-Day Acceleration.
