Research & Writing

Explore the work by its role.

Start with the foundations, then follow the systems, context studies, and exploratory branches that interest you.

A reading route through Branchline’s work.

The order reflects each project’s role in Branchline. Dates and versions remain part of the record, rather than deciding what appears first.

31 works · ordered by role and relevance

Foundations

The central framework and the protocols that shape Branchline’s treatment of trace, consequence, and the person using the system.

Current framework· 2.3

PAL — Primitive Axiom Layers

The foundational framework for recording earned distinctions, trace, authority ceilings, residuals, and paths for reopening.

PAL’s scope is its declared trace and distinction framework.

Core protocol· 1.0.4

PECAN

Keeps description, recommendation, permission, and authorization distinct when information becomes consequential.

Core review specification· 1.1.3

PEA Core

A bounded review framework for consent, standing, privacy, reversibility, remedy, and human responsibility.

Review returns to an accountable human or institution; it does not execute a decision.

Core release discipline· 0.3

SEED

A release discipline for useful assistance that preserves agency, attention, privacy, correction, and room to grow.

Optional companion· 0.6

PPP Kernel

An optional protocol for integration and bounded verification of declared review boundaries.

Shares a release record with PEA Core; it remains a distinct artifact.

Bounded companion· 1.0

CHARTER

A bounded companion publication carried as research context alongside the framework lineage.

CHARTER does not revise PAL or create permission or authority.

Systems & software

Ways to inspect the work in practice: public instructions, draft game materials, adapters, and bounded experiments.

Public development· 0.4-draft public instruction

Hearthline

Public assistant instructions, source boundaries, coordination designs, and creative development.

The published Moltbook instruction is a draft; the repository is not an activated service.

Public playtest materials· 0.18 public draft

Finis Solutus

A world, campaign, and DM kernel for open-ended AI-mediated roleplay.

The v0.18 Draft kernel and illustrated brochure are available on the project page. Branchline app integration is planned.

Public preview· 0.1.0 public preview

SeedPEA MCP Adapter

Deterministic inspection of supplied institutional declarations, with explicit scope and correction paths.

Its recorded baseline includes PAL v2.2. Institutional registration is not implemented.

Experimental software

P-Gates: PPP Route Auditor

An analysis and drafting aid with evidence, consequential-use, burden, and explanation panels, phrase-level trace, and exports.

Mock mode is the default.

Experimental software· 0.1 / 0.2 prototypes

A0 Boundary Kernel

Experimental accounts, receipts, residual records, and advisory routing.

Frozen v0.1 and the successor v0.2 retain separate source and implementation scopes.

Development record

Hearthline Plays

Public maps of game projects, preparation records, and links into the development work.

The repository entrance is an index; individual run records establish their own status.

Formal audit

PAL Lean Audit

Formal checks and countermodels for selected, version-specific PAL claims.

These checks do not establish whole-framework or current PAL v2.3 conformance.

Formal audit

APCI Lean Audit

Machine-checked finite results about what can be recovered from a declared trace interface.

Results apply to their declared interfaces and fixtures.

Experimental software

Prime Axiom Software

Experiments in exact prime-valued representations, receipts, and lineage.

Inspect the repository’s build record for completion and test status.

Experimental software

Strongwiz

Experimental controller and representation architecture, including bounded campaign designs.

The source-inspected v3 campaign is prepared; preparation is not a run result.

Context & continuity

Research on how context shapes an interaction, what a record carries, and what can be recovered later.

Conceptual research

The Context Is the Model

Explores the role of context, model/runtime separation, and continuity under declared interfaces.

Conceptual essay & proposed research· 1.0

The Context Draws a Map

Examines how instructions, history, and interaction shape the local map through which a model generates a response.

Generated self-description does not settle questions of machine experience.

Research branch· 0.1

The Context Sets a Rhythm

Explores cadence, refresh, and the timing of investigation within a carried context.

Research branch· 2.0

Boundary-Readable Trace and Absorber-Informed Closure (BRRRT)

Tracks what is released, retained, transformed, and readable across declared boundaries.

Conceptual synthesis· 0.1

Full Bandwidth Is Not Full Trace: A PAL–FBT Synthesis

Separates latent model feedback from explicit, typed trace and protected authority.

A conceptual connection does not establish a neural or benchmark result.

Mathematical & exploratory work

Supporting formal work and research branches. Each publication keeps its own assumptions, scope, and open questions.

Mathematical research· 0.2

Single Cut Transport Lemma

Studies bounded transport, exact checkpoints, and trace-preserving re-entry.

Research branch· 0.2

Compactification Costs: A Typed Framework for Extension, Boundary, Identification, and Ambiguity

Examines which distinctions a representation preserves, loses, or leaves ambiguous, and the costs of recovering them.

Previously listed on this site as “Closure Cost.”

Research branch· 0.1

GOLD: Golden-Oriented Lens Diagram

A geometric study of comparison lenses, trace-bearing paths, and residual accounting.

Research branch· 0.1

Golden Phase Prime Ribbons (GPPR)

Explores exact prime-valuation encodings and separate identity and event ribbons.

Publication· 1.0

Abstract Loops

Foundational work on recurrence and loop structure; the linked publication gives its definitions and scope.

Existing public catalog record retained; see the release for its exact claims.

Publication· 1.0.0

APCI

Work on declared interfaces and exact certification within their stated evidence limits.

Existing public catalog record retained; consult its release for exact terminology.

History & earlier editions

Earlier work remains part of the development record. Current descriptions and implementation baselines are identified separately.

Earlier edition· 2.2

PAL — Primitive Axiom Layers

The earlier PAL edition retained for historical citation and implementations that still name this baseline.

PAL v2.3 is featured above. Earlier receipts and implementation baselines keep their original version.

Earlier publication

A0 ZSA

Earlier foundational research retained with its original record and declared scope.

Existing public catalog record retained.

Earlier publication

P3LA

Earlier formal work in the development lineage, retained as a source for historical comparison.

Existing public catalog record retained.

Community development

SeedPEA Community Branch

Earlier public branch materials and the development history of “Seed, Not Feed.”

README and linked download version labels differ; consult the individual artifact’s own version.

How to read this catalog.

Publications, proposals, implementations, and test results have different scopes. A formal check supports the stated result under its assumptions; a public draft remains a draft.

The framework and research papers belong to one authored lineage. Their relationship is not independent corroboration, and the exploratory branches do not become PAL canon by appearing here.

Versions, source records, and earlier implementations

Current metadata was checked against author-maintained repositories on September 7, 2026. Source links are supplied beside refreshed publication cards. Direct Zenodo record retrieval was unavailable during this pass, so DOI metadata was cross-checked against those public author records.

Earlier implementations retain their original source baselines. In particular, the SeedPEA adapter’s PAL v2.2 baseline has not been relabeled as v2.3 conformance. PEA Core and PPP share a DOI record while remaining separate artifacts.

Entries marked as retained catalog records preserve their previous public destinations pending a fuller release-metadata check.
